That is well known that cash can make people free. But how to act when one doesn't have money? The one way is to try to get the mortgage loans and college loan.

After a little break, the NPL is back into full swing with the september 6th event held in Almere. Xistence showed up bright and early for we had the 3rd match of the day. We set up our trusty Dye tent to keep us nice and dry. We greeted the fellow competitors and got ready for the match, only to have it bumped down later in the schedule. Apparently some latecomers were getting some slack. No worries, we watched some games, did some coaching and even pulled out a lounge chair. Xistence was up against Soultakers, DUB, BZRK and Crossfire. Resulting 3-0, 3-1, 3-0 and 3-0 all in favor of Xistence.
Crossfire's withdrawal awarded some teams free points and the dropped in the standings but secured Xistence's firm position in 1st place. So look for us on the podium at the 4th and final leg of the Dutch Paintball League.

Parijs + Malaga Finals PDF Print E-mail

Disney Land in Paris once again welcomed the Millennium Series this july for one of the most anticipated events of the season. The sun was blasting us with hot rays all weekend long, having us bring home more than just welts.. but also a nice toasty skin. Amsterdam Xistence faced off against Outrage for their chance to enter the Final Match for the Malaga event, but the french team managed to capitalize the game against us, resulting in Amsterdam Xistence fighting for the 3rd or 4th spot in their final game in Malaga. This match also ended in a disappointing loss in the end. However... for the first time in the history of Dutch paintball, we got on the podium... in the SPL no less. Cheered on by Dutch fans, we accepted our trophy and envelop with cash humbly and promised to keep the fight going.

But Paris was more than just the Malaga finals, we also played the Paris Cup tournament, which is not taken into account for the overall ranking. It still offered a hefty cash prize and the fun of competing against teams outside your own division. Amsterdam Xistence proved once more to be a force to be reckoned with finishing 8th place in the Shield division after winning consecutive matches leading up to the final 8. All in all, it was a fun weekend.. we took home a trophy, had fun with our friends and played some good paintball. Which is what we are all about. Next up... London!

Last sunday Xistence gathered in Nijmegen early in the morning to play the second leg of the NPL.
We all rose up bright and early to be on time for our first match against each other as early as 8 AM.
Slowly the attending players and staff started pouring onto the site as we approached game time.
The first match between X1 and X2 started off with X2 taking the first point, but the tables turned just after that with X1 scoring 3 quick points and ending the match. X1 then took on High Voltage with a quick 3-0 result.
This was their last match till the end of the day, so X1 focused on pitting and coaching for the second squad.
X2's first match started off solid, scoring 2 points in a row. The easy points got to their heads and they
changed their game plan to a more aggressive one, giving Fearless free points and resulting in a loss.
Next up was Relics, X2's young squad was a bit too fast for the veterans to handle.
The match ended 3-0 in favor of X2. Lastly for X2, they faced off against Next Level.
The squad played a sloppy match resulting in a 3-1 victory in the end, not showing their full potential consistently. The day was closed off with X1 playing their last match against Outshine, also finishing them off 3-0.

Amsterdam Xistence still leads the pack in the ranking, followed by Crossfire, Fearless and Xistence 2 tied for
second place. We look forward to the next leg for more Dutch competition, but first... Paris!

June 14th, Sweetlake City

After having the field set up early in the morning, we welcomed the the players arriving for the second installment of the must anticipated Dutch Open 2009. With a challenging field setup and 14 equally hungry teams competing, it was starting to look like a great day of competition was ahead of us. The Dutch weather was reliable in making sure we stayed wet and cold during the whole event, but we were happy to see this did not bother the teams that much. Another unfortunate circumstance was the absence of multiple Xistence refs, which increased the work load for the remaining marshalls. Fortunately the players all chipped in by playing fair paintball and the day went on smoothly except for a few minor incidents. We saw some great matches and some very quick points, including one under 20 seconds with a daring run through the X. After all the matches were finished, our good friends Rotterdam BZRK came out the victors to everyone's surprise as they were considered to be among the underdogs of the tournament. They were closely followed by local Sweetlake City team, the Saints who played some good paintball and also exceeded expectations. After the final match, we were challenged in the atmosphere of good fun by BZRK to a best of three match. We gladly excepted and closed the day of with laughs, with BZRK managing to win one point out of three against us. Then we showed them who's boss.

We were more than happy to present first place winner Rotterdam BZRK with 5 brand spanking new Dye Rotors. The best paintball loader on the market, which they were extremely happy in accepting.

To the second place Sweetlake Saints we also gladly handed over 5 cases of DXS paint, kindly provided by Draxxus Benelux. The dealer in Draxxus paint, which wins more tournaments than any other.

Finally, we would like to congratulate Amsterdam Sabotage with their 3rd place finish. They took home 5 sexy headbands from PBfashion: the biggest name in agg apparel and HK gear, now available at Paintball Supplies.

Seeing as the previous event was regrettably canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions. The second Millennium event was to become a two-in-one, featuring the last preliminary matches from Malaga and the finals up to the final 4. After a 3 hour drive down to Germany, we found ourselves in between retired anti-aircraft artillery, tanks and fighter planes. Although the site was interesting historically, it provided little incentive for spectators to come see the paintball event as it was somewhat in the middle of nowhere. Some spectators that did however get a very unique view of the event where the skydivers that were regularly jumping out of airplanes and landing next to the fields. They in turn entertained the players with their aerial acrobatics.

Amsterdam Xistence was facing the London Tigers for their final preliminary match, which would decide whether or not they would go through to the finals. After a hard match, Xistence came out the victors, winning 4-2. The final for the top 8 had Xistence meeting Art Chaos Moscow, a team to be reckoned with. Xistence dealt with them accordingly, beating them 4-2 as well. Unfortunately, we were pitted against our friends Brussels Crossfire in the final for qualification to the top 4 (and the prizes). In a match that attracted a lot of onlookers, Xistence took down the Belgians 4-1. No hard feelings.
Amsterdam Xistence made it into the top 4 finals to be played in Paris, proving we belong in the SPL to everyone who felt we didn't deserve it.

Amsterdam Xistence 2 played under their potential and finished 14th for the Malaga event and 6th for Bitburg, with the current ranking of 11th place. We feel this is not where we belong and intend to put some pedal to the metal in order to knock some teams down a few notches.

Come see Amsterdam Xistence fight for 1st place in Paris !!

Nijmegen marked the location of the brand spanking new and first ever Dutch Xball League.
We of Amsterdam Xistence are very enthusiastic about this development in Dutch paintball and are glad to see the amount of teams eager to play and compete in the Xball format.
Although Nijmegen isn't next door to us, it sure beats driving across the border to Germany or Belgium to get to play some Xball events. So after the relatively short drive we set up our Dye tent and checked out the field.
The Bitburg layout should provide for good familiarization for the upcoming Millennium event.
Both Xistence and Xistence 2 were pumped up and ready to school some teams in Xball. And school teams is what we did!
Both Amsterdam Xistence 1 and 2 rolled over every opponent for the day and finished with the first and second place rankings, winning every match with unanswered momentum.
Not a single point was scored against either team. See Amsterdam Xistence take on other teams in order to maintain their first and second place rankings at the next NPL event!

April 23rd-27th

Thursday, the 23rd, the event the whole European paintball community has been waiting for finally arrived. Last year's event left us all with a lot of excitement, some sunburn and sand in our gearbags. Xistence was eager to fly to sunny Spain and play the first event of the 2009 season, flight went well, train ride went well, checking into our favorite hotel went well... seemed like it was going to be a great event without any hitches.

Our first day of play was on Friday, Xistence would meet German team All-stars for the first preliminary match. The German team was reinforced by big named American Pro Players Tim Montressor and Ryan Moorehead from the Philly Americans. A large crowd gathered around the field to witness Amsterdam Xistence's first match going into the Semi-Professional League. People started making comments already when we were down 2-0 after some devastating points. Many people would let their head hang low after two quick points like that, but Xistence regrouped and just attacked... taking the match to a do-or-die 3-3 standoff. Xistence came out the victors with a score of 4-3, proving they are a force to be reckoned with in the SPL. Xistence 2 had a smoother first match, our second squad playing their first Millennium event ever. X2 rolled over Reading Entity 4-1. Both squad's second matches were dropped due to some premature confidence and faulty game plans, so both fates were going to be decided by the Saturday game.

As many of you may of heard by now. Division 1 and SPL didn't get any Sunday play due to extreme weather, forcing the Millennium to disassemble the fields. After waiting a couple of hours for the official news we decided to just head out and have fun in Malaga, it wasn't like we were going to just mope around about the canceled event anyway. All in all... a big dissapointment, but we made the best of it. See how we do in Spain next event... in Bitburg!
